"In late 2017, after almost a decade of chronic pain, fatigue, inflammation, exhaustion and a slew of doctors, I was diagnosed with SIBO and adrenal fatigue. SIBO, or Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth, occurs when there is an imbalance in the gut. I have since adopted a low FODMAP diet and have been creating recipes that accommodate my personal dietary needs while remaining delicious crowd pleasers."

A LOW FODMAP DIET limits or in some cases eliminates foods that are high in FODMAPs and emphasizes eating those that are low in FODMAPs. 

THE TERM FODMAP refers to a group of short-chain carbohydrates (sugars and fibers) that are commonly malabsorbed and in some cases even completely indigestible in the gut. They travel through the intestinal tract and when FODMAPs reach your colon, they begin to ferment and are used by bacteria as fuel. This can cause digestive discomfort, bloating, gas, and in some more severe cases may even cause symptoms like inflammation and brain fog.

LIVING LOW FODMAP Adopting a Low FODMAP lifestyle may seem impossible at first. The word "elimination" can sound intimidating and may even cause you to freeze in your tracks, not knowing where to begin or how you'll manage. My goal has always been to create low FODMAP friendly recipes for all phases of the "diet" that you AND your non-low FODMAP family and friends can all enjoy - without even realizing you're eliminating ingredients!
